2019 IFCAH Funded Projects

In 2019 IFCAH funded projects on Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia for an amount of 250 000€. Following IFCAH’s call for projects, 17 letters of intent have been received. Among them, 7 projects have been pre-selected for being reviewed and auditioned by the scientific committee.

Pr Michel Polak (president of IFCAH’s scientific committee) announced the selected projects at the 58th International Meeting of ESPE in Vienna, Austria. Selected projects are listed hereafter:

Dr Nicole Reisch, Dr Richard Auchus, “Prospective long-term follow-up of hypothalamus-pituitary-gonadal (HPG) axis in males with CAH”, 100 000 €

Dr Claudia Boettcher,  “Oral contraceptives in female adolescents with CAH: impact on the metabolome, and a way to optimize treatment with respect to androgen excess?”, 75 000 €

Dr Anna Nordenström, “Effects and importance of adrenalin deficiency in CAH”, 75 000 €
