In 2020 IFCAH (International Fund raising for Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia) and ESPE (European society for pediatric endocrinology) launches its tenths call for proposals.
Pr Michel Polak (president of IFCAH’s scientific committee) announced the launch of this Call for Projects at the 58th International Meeting of ESPE in Vienna, Austria.
Academic groups working directly or indirectly on CAH are invited to submit a project if the results of theirs studies could help to increase knowledge on physiopathology of the disease or allow a better therapeutic approach.
An important element is a geographical extension to teams working from all over the world. Participation is open worldwide and will, if possible, include teams based in Europe.
This restriction does not apply to projects on gene or cellular therapies of the disease.
Selection procedures will include 2 steps:
The information given on letter of intent (LOI) will enable the scientific board of IFCAH-ESPE to access the priority of the projects and to determine whether the proposed research merits a full application. Full applications will be requested from selected LOIs and submitted to peer-review.
Final selection will take place after an oral project’s presentation (on site in Paris or through video-conference) to the IFCAH-ESPE scientific board.
