The “Association Surrenales“ was created in September, 1996 on Mrs Jeannine Finet’s initiative whose one of the children was affected by adrenal tumors at the age of 8 and who is now adrenal insufficient for life. This aims at giving information on adrenal pathologies, at informing the persons who suffer from it, listen to them and help them to break their isolation. It also aims at becoming known better the adrenal diseases and to support research in this domain.

The French Muscular Dystrophy Association (AFM-Téléthon) is composed of patients and their families who are affected by a genetic, rare and progressive illness that leads to heavy handicaps: neuromuscular diseases. In order to fight those diseases, AFM chose to initiate innovative actions and a strategy of general interest that benefits all rare diseases and all persons with disabilities.
